Burning Café Extended goes on a Retarded Journey

Dear burners in Vienna,

it's time to meet again to DANCE! Welcome to the Summer Edition of Burning Café Extended.

This time, it is going to be more – if YOU make it more! Burning Café Extended is... a Burning Café with DJs, dance, gifts, marvels, costumes and fun… that is, everything YOU are willing to make of it. We provide the dancefloor, we provide some music and a bar – the rest is up to you.

This time we will meet at the Retarded Journey Headquaters – a wonderful location that reminds us of a camp on the playa! There is a stage, a bar, a roof, some couches, lots of space in between and a bonfire as well. Everything is outdoors, there are lots of possibilities to co-create!

The dress code for tomorrow is as always: radical selfexpression! What that stands for is defined by YOU. So come as what makes you feel your best!

BUILD

We will be at the venue at 17:00. If you want to help to co-create the space, come earlier!

GATE

Doors will open at 18:00.

COVID: 3G rules! Please bring an evidence that you are vaccinated, recovered or tested. We will check these at the entrance. We will also ask you to register your contact details upon arrival (QR code or paper).

WORKSHOPS

18:30 - 19:30 „The Multidimensional Gate Jump” by Oliver Angel

„In this introductory workshop we will use a simple exercise that I took from Improvisationtheater where we open our door to imagination through a random body posture. As we delve into other lives of humans and other creatures we will explore given realities (instead of inventing some). Warm up might include „alien talk”, another simple warm up exercise from physical theater/ action theater (called action -reaction) - no prerequistes or talents needed for participation.”
